Dead Xbox
So last night I turned on my Xbox 360 to do some fragging in Rainbow Six: Vegas and my screen freezes up. This had never happened before so I unplugged everything including the hard drive and wifi connector and tried again.
Nothing.
This time it froze on the loading animation and m TV's speakers were going "BZZZZZZZZZ".
As you can imagine, I'm filled with horror as I call Xbox support. They say it needs to be sent in and will cost $139.90 to fix. Ouch.
So leave the unit unplugged for an hour or so and turn it on only to find the dreaded ring of death (see picture).
So as you can imagine, I'm pretty bummed. I'm moving next week so I'm going to wait till I'm in my new place to send it out to get repaired. I'm thinking of starting a "Help Mark Fix His Xbox360 Fund".
Anyone care to contribute?

I’ll give you some sweat equity when you move. Take the money you save from the free labor and fix the thing….or buy a new one.

HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT’S WHAT YOU WANTED?!
